Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

These are some images of birds and critters from my yard and some from our local fire road taken around June 10-15th.

I've been seeing at least three bunnies in the yard, this one has a couple ticks on it's side.

The Goldfinches love the thistle sock.

The Gray Catbird is always looking for the suet.

From our walk on the local fire road, we see the Scarlet Tanager.

A Great Blue Heron on the nest, seen from the fire road.

A Swallowtail butterfly seen near the fire road.

A juvenile Great Blue Heron has been seen in my yard , this time on my deck railing.

The Heron has been seen in my neighbors yard, this heron walked all the way around my house. I saw it pacing in front of the gate like it wanted to come inside the yard. Finally it walked toward the back of the yard, I think it can climb the pine trees branches back into it's nest.

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments!

Happy Monday

Happy Monday, I hope all is well in your part of the world. Have a great day and new week!

During our road trip, I was happy to meet blogger Mary in Kentucky. This is the link to  Mary's blog. She is sweet person,  We met at a Cracker Barrel restaurant off of Rt 71 on our way to Mammoth Caves National Park in Kentucky. Thanks again to Mary for the nice lunch, I am so glad we could meet.

On 5/4 we made an early morning stop before leaving Ohio. Nearby was the Clear Creek Covered Bridge and the Clear Creek Metro Park in Rockbridge Ohio.

Clear Creek Metro Park

This chicken was in the park near Lake Ramona.

This was a birdy area, saw the American Redstarts, Common Yellowthroat Warbler, Catbird, Bluebirds and Chipping Sparrows.

Some of the birds we saw were the male and female American Redstarts, Common Yellowthroat Warbler and Catbird. I am sorry the photos are not the best, they moved quickly and were camera shy.

We took the Hemlock Trail for a little distance, there were many wildflowers, a little creek and the hemlock trees.

I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.

Thanks to the hosting team of Our World Tuesday!

I hope to see you there. Thanks to the host today. Enjoy your day and new week ahead.

I am sharing some more of my backyard birds, butterflies and critters. Most of the photos were take during the month of August.

A young Gray Catbird, I was taking photos of my Trumpet vine flowers when this bird suddenly appeared. Perfect timing for my photo.

A pair of Chipping Sparrows, they have been my most common bird along with the Cardinal this summer.

A Painted Lady butterfly

A Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher lives in the woods next to our house. Sometimes it comes over to our bushes and trees looking for bugs to eat.

A bunny on the deck steps. The morning glory plant is going great this year, it is covering our fence and starting to take over.

A pair of House Wrens. It was raining in this photo, if you look closely you can see the raindrops.

A Ruby-throated Hummingbird sitting on a buddleia leaf.

Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly on buddleia.

My hummers loved this Lantana plant and flowers.

Great Spangled Butterflies.

Another Spicebush or Pipevine Swallowtail.

Cedar Waxwing, a couple of them landed in our dead weeping cherry tree. We left the dead tree standing just for the birds, they seem to like perching in this tree.

A large bullfrog by our little pond.

Various butterflies seen in my yard this in August.

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments! I hope you enjoy my post and photos too!

These are some images of my yard birds and butterflies. I am so behind sharing photos, these are mostly images from July early August.

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Female House Finch

Black Swallowtail or Spicebush?

In the woods across the driveway, a Turkey Vulture and a Great Blue Heron.

Great Spangled Fritillary and pretty Purple Coneflowers.

Eastern Bluebirds came one day to check out the bird houses and maybe our blueberry bushes, a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the Gray Catbird.

I am not sure if these two are Eastern Phoebe's or the Eastern PeWee? Any id help is appreciated.

Another Black Swallowtail butterfly or Pipevine? The butterflies and hummers love this lantana

The female Ruby-throated Hummingbird also at the Lantana. These photos were taken thru my dining room window. I have the Lantana and some other plants sitting on a table right outside the window.

I hope you enjoyed my photos, birds and butterflies.

Hubby and I visited the Delaware Water Gap and East Stroudsburg Pa on June 27-29. We saw a lot of waterfalls and I found some birds along the way.

I took this shot  of the Baltimore Oriole while sitting in my car, I had to zoom to the tree tops way across the Bushkill Falls parking lot.

Below is the Wood Thrush seen off the trail at Bushkill Falls.

This Cedar Waxwing was seen at the Resica Falls.

Great Blue Heron in a dried up lake.

Louisiana Waterthrush  at Dingmans Falls

A large group of Mallard Ducks seen off the road.

More Mallards, I have never seen so many Mallards together.

A Gray Catbird from our walk on the McDade Trail at the Delaware Watergap.

Also on the McDade Trail a Song Sparrow.

Another bird on the McDade Trail the Brown Thrasher almost hidden in the grass.

I know these are not the greatest photos but I wanted to record the birds I saw while visiting Stroudsburg Pa and the Delaware Water Gap. I will show some of the waterfalls on another post.
